This Benedict Canyon site is a stunningly beautiful property covered with mature trees but the owner wished for site improvements to offer better use of the grounds surrounding the house. The design provides an extension of the living areas into the landscape to enjoy the great year round southern California climate. A spa pavilion was planned off the bedroom wing of the house and a dining pavilion caps the west end of the pool deck. On the slope above the pool, elevated decks were designed to frame the pool as seen from the living areas of the house and provide a vantage point over the grounds. The new drought tolerant plant scheme will replace the existing water thirsty plantings throughout, a much more sustainable solution for a garden that will look best year round.
