Viewpoint Data Labs Office & Studio is a creative office space and 3-D digital imaging studio for creating 3D digital models & images for television advertising, movies, governments and military clients worldwide. Viewpoint’s 3D models are developed through scanning & digitizing objects & people, offering different levels of models from the fully textured to the basic wire frame. Conceptually, the curved walls, exposed building structure and colorful interior are a reflection of the 3-D images that Viewpoint creates including skins, colors & shadows as well as wire frames.

The design solution had to combine non-traditional office marketing spaces, computer networking services and a flexible studio setting. Furthermore, the office and studio walls needed to be movable to reconfigure the space to digitally scan models, objects and people of various sizes. To solve these diverse requirements SOA designed rolling walls and custom designed rolling furniture. The computer scanning equipment and stations roll around on the custom furniture to plug in where they are needed to accommodate a scan.
